Report on Investor Awareness Program (IAP) on Financial Literacy

On 09 Feb 2024, a Seminar on “Financial Literacy” was organized in association with BIAP (Board of Industry-Academia Partnerships).The session started at 11.00 a.m. It was graced by the presence of the faculties of the finance department. There were students of class FYBBA who participated in the Seminar.The speaker, Ms. Sushma G Das gave students detailed information on the basics of stock markets, the basics of Mutual funds and SIPs, financial planning, and safe investing. The session also highlighted the important aspects of grievance Redressal, dos and don’ts, rights and responsibilities, and safe usage of digital financial services. All this was explained thoroughly with the help of a PowerPoint Presentation. The session was very well received by all the participants.

At the end, queries were raised by students which were answered by the Speaker.It was a very informative session with a very deep insight into the details of the Securities Markets, which helped students to enhance their knowledge. The event was formally called to closure with the Vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Priti Agarwal. (Faculty in Finance Dept).
